Starting Solids

My 10 month old is thriving with solids thanks to Susan Howard's starting solids class! We were hesitant to take it virtually, but my husband and I learned so much and felt confident going into this new stage of parenthood. She does a great job at consolidating the endless amount of information out there about this topic into interactive and easy to follow slides as well as info about must-have devices that help you on your way. I highly recommend it for anyone who's babe is getting close to that 5 month age!

Breastfeeding: What to Expect the Second Time Around

Susan's "Second Time Around" class was a lifesaver for me. I had truly forgotten most of the minutia of the newborn phase. (All I remembered was an emotional blur.) In the circumstances of my first delivery which was a cesarian, my greatest grief was how I missed out on the golden hour I had hoped for. Taking the class was one of the puzzle pieces that helped empower me for a successful VBAC and cherished golden hour. Her support (and the community!) also helped me advocate for donor breastmilk when supplementing was needed, through exclusive pumping while my son was in the NICU, and the regulation that followed.
